SPECTRA Showcase: "First Thursdays"
As part of First Thursdays the SPECTRA Showcase is a Monthly event of Artists, Musicians, and Performers syncing their programming and audio to the LEDs of the SPECTRA Light Sculpture overhead Fulton Plaza. This is free to public event, come learn about and interact with the lighting of SPECTRA, and enjoy the music/audio synced with the LEDs. SPECTRA Grand Opening at "Night of Ideas 2025"
Join us for the debut of SPECTRA, a new large scale public light sculpture by Joshua Hubert , premiering at Night of Ideas 2025! What is SPECTRA? SPECTRA is a 1.6-acre light installation spanning the rooftops of the San Francisco Public Library and Asian Art Museum. Featuring 1,271 LED bulbs, this dynamic display will shimmer, pulse, and transform the night with over 4 billion colors. SPECTRA Debut Performance 8:00 PM – After Dark Experience the first-ever lighting of SPECTRA, a choreographed audio-visual journey synced to music.
