Bloominate was created as a Bar Game for Camp Nerdgasm at the 2010 and 2012 Burning Man Festival. Inspired by the drinking game Beirut (Beer Pong) the game was placed cup side up and tilted slightly towards the player. The player threw an illuminated ping-pong ball from no less than 10ft away. The player would win a mixed drink, shot, beer, or "Special Prize" determined by what ever color cup the ball landed in. When the game was not being used it was hung on the wall behind the bar to attract passers by to come in for a drink and some fun.
