Listed below are 4 lighting areas that make up the plaza
1) Round Benches
2) Low Perimeter Walls
3) Pylons
4) Rooftop Floods
Here is a video demonstration and map of all 4 areas synchronized together into a cohesive lighting installation.

Area 1: Round Benches
Neon-Style animated LED Tubing along underside of 5 round benches. Programmed LED patterns will flow in a cohesive single display from bench to bench and other areas.

Area 2: Low Perimeter Walls
Replace 26 existing glaring white fixtures with Programmable LEDs that chase and flow along the entire length of the park and sync with other areas.

Area 3: Pylons
Replace light source at top of each of the 4 pylons with a super bright 10 Watt programmable LED and add 8 LED strips to the 4 pillars on each pylon. Patterns will flow up and down, from pylon to pylon, and to surrounding areas.

Area 4: Rooftop Floods
13 bright individually programmable 30 Watt flood lights on the west side rooftop to bath the Plaza in colored light that is synchronized with the other lighting areas. Direct lighting will not be projected into apartment windows below.

Synchronization:
All 4 lighting areas will be synchronized using state of the art GPS Atomic Clock LED Controllers. Because data cables are not able to be run underground from area to area, and because each wake up at different times due to being in different power outlets, this allows each controller to sync up to the same animation frame. Separate pre-recorded patterns are loaded onto each controller, allowing patterns that appear to flow from area to area. New shows can be swapped out for new themes.
Alternative GPS Atomic Clock LED Controllers can be installed that allow for Live control for Live Performance and Music Visualization.

Design 1: Chain of spherical LED lights in an overhead zig-zag pattern along the length of the Alley. Programmable patterns flow down and across the area. Can be combined with Design 2.
Design 2: Miniature overhead spotlights in a zig-zag pattern that will illuminate the ground along the length of the Alley. Programmable patterns will flow down and across the area as brightly illuminate spots on the ground beneath each. Can be combined with Design 1.
Design 3: A series of overhead horizontal diffused LED light bars with dense LED arrays along the length of the Alley. Programmable to play dynamic patterns that will flow down and across the area.

(Spanning from Lakewood Ave to Frida Kahlo Way.)
Goal: Create a 0.7 mile Illuminated sculpture along Ocean Ave, to bring awareness and commerce to the business district, while beautifying the district for residents, business owners, and visitors.
Concept: Utilizing 78 lamp posts along the 0.7 mile stretch as a structure and power source, attach a custom programmable LED element to each. Patterns will be synchronized so patterns flow up, down, and across the street as a single cohesive display.
Synchronization:
All 78 lamp post LED element will be synchronized using state of the art GPS Atomic Clock LED Controllers. Because data cables are not able to be run underground or wired over head from post to post, and because each wake up at different times due to being on different power outlets and solar sensors, this allows each controller to sync up to the same animation frame. Separate pre-recorded patterns are loaded onto each controller, allowing patterns that appear to flow from area to area. New shows can be swapped out for new themes.

Pricing: Site 3: Alley at Legion Ct and Aston Ave. $80k-$200k
Detailed pricing options can not be supplied until LED element placement and power from lamp post is approved from city, along with cost of city work to install LED elements. Upon approval of placement design and pricing options can be supplied. Placement 1: Ideal location allowing best visibility of LED patterns flowing down and across street. Placement 2: Replace flags with LED element for good visibility of LED patterns flowing down and across street. Placement 3: Replace globe lighting with LED element for good visibility of LED patterns flowing down and across street. Placement 4: Has poor visibility to see patterns LED patterns flowing down street, but intimate engagement viewed along sidewalk. Placement 5: Has poor visibility to see patterns LED patterns flowing down street, but is still out of reach of public along sidewalk. |
