SEA OF LIGHT

The Seaport District of NYC was transformed into the ​Sea of Light, 
Inspired by the sun, illuminated by warm light, they brought comfort and wonder to the dark and cold NYC winter. Using thermal cameras on nearby rooftops to track admirers, the sun's patterns react to their movements. I worked with the team at Symmetry Labs to design the optics of the acrylic faces along the massive undertaking to build the LED and power systems for it's 150,000 LEDs.
