Carved Glass, Clear UV Reactive Pigment

OPTUV is a hand-blown glass lens cut from a heavy thick walled bubble. Once the glass is annealed and cooled it was cut with a diamond saw and ground down to crystal clear polish. The patterned channels were carved with a sandblaster. The carves areas were then coated with clear chemical pigments that emit color under Ultra Violet Light (UV) while remaining transparent. In normal light the OPTUV is completely colorless. The internal concave lens within a convex lens creates a unique optical effect.
